35 weeks today!!!
I can honestly say that I never thought I would make it this far! So thankfull, but hoping to make another 2 weeks.
I saw Dr Rosalie yesterday and all looks good.
She said she will be more than willing to deliver the boys after 36 weeks, if there is still a weight difference between them.
The scan showed twin 1 weighing about 2.3 kg and twin 2.6kg, but I think they weigh less than that so we have another Doppler scan on the 29th to get a clearer picture of how they are doing. And I love the big scans so amazing to see the boys sweet little faces in 4D.
Other than that my cervix is holding tight at 2cm even with both their heads putting a lot of pressure on it. So good for now.
Dr did mention that because their heads are pressing so hard against each other that they would need physio for their heads and necks, my poor babies...
So here's to another 2weeks at least until we meet our precious boys, new date for c-section 16Feb, but will prob change again ...

Due date ??!
So far this pregnancy has gone really well, and I feel so blessed to have been able to experience this gift.
But as the birth of my LOs are on the horizon, I can honestly say that I'm nervous even scared.
Yes, nervous for what this new chapter holds for me and my DH, but also very excited to welcome these precious little souls into our lives.
But really scared of the birth ...lol
I have never wanted a natural birth, I know I am probable the exception to the rule, but the thought has always scared me to death...
So with that thought I am scheduled for a c-section on the 20th of Feb, which will put me at just short of 39 weeks....with twins...( what is Dr R thinking????) twins are full term at 37 weeks!!
So for the last week I have been fearing the thought of having to go into labour and then having to have an emergency c-section, not a fun idea in my mind.
Most of the girls on FC that fell pregnant at more or less the same time as me, has gone on to have their gorgeous little twins, think from our batch there are 2 of us left standing.
I don't think any of the girls have made it past 37 weeks...
So that brings me to the next 2 weeks, my DH is out of the country at the moment, an will be for most of the next 2 weeks ...
The thought of going into labour is just so scary...trying to make it to the hospital by myself just as scary (wonder if i would be able to drive myself) and then the actual birth ....lol (have I mentioned that I am really scared?!)
So I guess the best I can hope for is either having these babies after the next two weeks, which I really hope will be the case
Or if they had to come early I would have just a little bit of notice so I can hopefully plan for it and hopefully get my husband back home in time for the birth of his sons.
Needless to say that I am not thrilled at the idea of doing this alone, so let's hope and pray that theses babies decide to come after the 5th of Feb...

34 weeks
Had our 34 week Doppler scan today and the boys are fine!
Twin 1 is measuring at 33w5d and weighs 2 kgs.
She did say that his tummy is measuring on the smaller side, but not to worry as he is still growing and picking up weight, so that is good and all his Doppler readings are perfect.
I suppose his growth rate is slowing down a little bit, but he is still doing well.
We got to see gorgeous 4D images of him and he is just sooo gorgeous, and those lips... just crying out for kisses!!!
Both babies still have enough fluid and blood flow through the cords looks really good.
Twin 2 is doing well measuring at 33w3d and weighing in at 2.3kgs.
So I assume that he had a bit of a growth spurt, as he was always the smaller baby.
All the Doppler readings are perfect with him as well.
We only managed to get a little peak at his face, and what a gorgeous little baba
I actually think that they look a lot alike, and just like their Daddy .... ooohh my heart just love all my boys so much

33 weeks
Had our check up yesterday and we are 33 weeks today!
Dr R scanned and when she was done with twin 1 she said that he is really a tiny, baby. He weighs 1.7kg. Which really is strange to me because at our Doppler scan 2weeks ago, he was the bigger baby and was 1.6 kg. So that would mean that in 2weeks he has only picked up 100g
She then measured twin 2 and he seems to be right on target, weighing in at about 2kg, but as I said two weeks ago he was the smaller baby and was only 1.5kg.
We discussed the fact that we might have gotten the babies mixed up as they are both head down, but it seems highly unlikely.
And that her scanning equipment isn't as accurate as what they use for the Doppler scan.
So either, twin 1 is really growing very slowly and twin 2 hit a major growth spurt or we mixed them up and twin 2 is still the smaller baby and not growing very much and twin 1 is right on track...
So I will be going back for another Doppler scan in a week to see what's happening with my precious boys.
I must admit this whole situation has left me very unsettled and the tears just won't stop coming. I think it might be a build up of a couple of things that has weighed on me lately and probable all my hormones as well.
So here's to a week of praying for these babas to grow, grow, grow! And for next week to just be here already...
